In addition to being Redeemer, Jesus was a Teacher to His disciples – but unlike any other. To be a Christian and disciple of Christ is to be a learner. Participation in adult Sunday school is an essential way to learn the things of God, mature in Christ, and “…not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Romans 12:2).
Please accept this personal invitation to participate in any class depending upon your interests. You may move around from class to class as desired. And, don’t be concerned if you are unable to attend every week; please come when you can!
Classes meet on Sundays at 9:15 AM prior to the 10:30 AM Worship Service. All adult classrooms are located downstairs in the lower level of the church.
The Forward Class is currently focusing on the first book of the Bible – Genesis. Lessons emphasize not only God’s covenant relationship with Israel, but also how that relationship foreshadows and finds its ultimate fulfillment when God calls a people “out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation”, which He identifies as His Church – the Bride of Christ (Revelation 5:9; 21:9).

This is a good class for those who wish to better understand what’s in the Bible, the general order in which Biblical events happened, and to revisit Bible books and stories that they may not have looked at for a while. The studies alternate quarterly between the Old and New Testaments. Each class begins with a recap of the last lesson so that new participants are somewhat up to speed and won’t feel lost. If all of this sounds interesting, stop in, kick the tires, and see if we might be a good fit for you.
Class for All Ages of Adults
This class is both for beginners and those who want to advance their understanding of what God has done for us as recorded in the Old and New Testaments. Various topics are addressed consistent with the teaching of historic Christianity. God’s majesty, holiness, graciousness, righteousness, love, and justice are reflected in the lessons. The Bible’s unity, truthfulness, consistency, inspiration, and inerrancy govern the approach to a sound interpretation of the Scriptures throughout each lesson.
Meeting Room: Classroom is on the lower level (down the hallway from the Church Parlor, facing west toward Main St.)
