TBC & Corona Virus Updates

Dear Church Family,

The Trinity Baptist Church Council met last night, and after much prayer and discussion among church leadership we have decided to not meet for corporate worship, including Sunday School, on March 22 and March 29 due to the current spread of COVID-19. In addition, the town Hall meeting and Quarterly Business Meeting scheduled for March 29 are also postponed. We want to be compliant with government restrictions and mindful of those around us to minimize the impact on our church family and community. All individual ministry programs will be suspended as well. Leaders of small groups, Sunday School, and other ministry programs are encouraged to maintain contact with members of their groups in order to encourage them through this time and help to fulfill any needs they may have.

Church leaders will be meeting regularly to determine if corporate worship services should be suspended for a longer period of time. This is an unprecedented situation that we are facing so we are weighing all of the information that we are getting and joining together in prayer in making these
decisions.

Pastor Daniel will be recording a short video every day during this time so that we can continue to learn and grow as a church family. On Sundays, he will be livestreaming a full sermon video at our normal worship time of 10:30 a.m. All of these videos will be posted on the Trinity Baptist Church Facebook page. We encourage you to share these videos with your friends and family as this is an excellent time and opportunity to increase our outreach. If you are unable to connect to Facebook to view these videos, call the church office at 740-387-6527 and let us know so that we can get the videos to you in another format. The Sunday sermon will still be broadcast on WWGH 107.1FM on Wednesdays and Sundays at 6:15 p.m.

While our services are suspended and we are not meeting and worshipping corporately together, please also remember that Trinity Baptist Church is 100% supported and funded by our weekly donations. In addition to supporting ministries and facilities of Trinity, our tithes also support our staff and their families. Since we won’t have a weekly offering, below are four methods that can be used to continue regular giving:

  • Drop your donation off at the church office during office hours. You may want to call to verify the office is open as this event can change quickly.
  • Mail your donation to the church office at Trinity Baptist Church, 220 S. Main St, Marion, OH 43302. (Please DO NOT use the old address of 244 S. Main).
  • Set your bank checking or savings account up to have a regularly occurring automatic payment made to Trinity Baptist Church, 220 S. Main St, Marion, OH. (again DO NOT use 244 S. Main). The bank will send an actual check every occurrence.
  • PAYPAL – this is an electronic payment system you can use to give to Trinity. There is a small fee that Trinity will pay for this service. The PayPal account is currently being setup. Once setup is complete, we will include information on Trinity Baptist Church Facebook page, as well as our website (www.tbcmarion.org).

God has always provided for all of our needs including the financial ones. We don’t know what will happen in the short term, but He does and it will be okay.

If you find yourself in need of food or medication delivery or other needs during this time, please contact the church office, and we will do our best to meet those needs. Likewise, if you are willing to provide assistance, such as delivering food or medication, please contact the church office. We are a church family, and we are devoted to caring for one another the best that we can.

Please join us in praying for our church, our community, our nation, and our world during these uncertain times.

Clothed in Christ,
The Trinity Baptist Church Council
